Getting back to the blog

I am hoping to get back to posting some things here. I have been working hard at the enameling and will try and post photos of both successes and failures.

I have added some more enamelists to my ever growing list of inspirational artists.

Artist Statement

For most of my career as an artist I have been a painter. I have worked in pen and ink, watercolors, gouache, oils and acrylics. I have always painted the world around me in all its true splendor. For many years I lived in the tropics and painted the lush plant life that surrounded me. When I left the tropics and moved out into the country I painted landscapes of the local farms and my wonderful vegetable garden.

In the early 90’s I began a career in graphic design. I designed textbooks for both Pearson Education and Houghton Mifflin. Working as a graphic designer gave my work a new vision. I still painted and drew in my spare time as much as I could but in graphic design it is all about the software. I became a Photoshop whiz and specialized in digital artwork.
