July Bead Journal Project 2011

July BJP 2011, originally uploaded by Roberta Warshaw.

I was finally able to get into my studio this weekend undisturbed.

A miracle really.

I made many Metal Clay components. Right now the plan is to use them in my bead embroidery including the Bead Journal Project for 2011.

I have done July. Yes, I did go out of order. I had every intention of starting with January. In fact it is sitting on my unfinished pile.I hope it is OK to go out of order....I couldn't help myself. The colors spoke and I went with them. I am such a summer person. Maybe I will end up doing January in the summer....when I am ready to cool off.

I am not making any plans. I am going with the flow, so to speak!

you're off to a good start! fortunately there are no "bjp police" to nab you for going out of order, right? nice thing is you can go as you need to. i love working with those types of little leaves, but you know what??? i never even thought of anchoring them with a seed bead. i always stitched them on and they'd be all floppy. 'doh! now i know better.

Beautiful!
The red is just a perfect pop of color and really makes the piece.

Yes, I can finally use all those cabs I bought for making silver bezels. I was never very good at making bezels! Beaded ones are so much easier. No melting!

It's quite lovely. Are the flower petals you metal clay components? I don't know anything about metal clay. I like the movement in the background.

Thank you everyone. True, I am not a winter person. I am determined to get through January though!

Oh for fun!!! I love the idea of flowers when it's below freezing and ice/snow covered outside right now! Your PMC leaves are lovely!

I don't think it matters one hoot how you do the BJP as long as it works for you. January in July and vice versa... OK by me.

I think that was a brilliant idea to do a summer theme now! I love making holiday items in the middle of the hot summer :-)
