Day 3 in Tucson

Sabino Canyon, originally uploaded by Roberta Warshaw.
Today we hiked a trail with our good friend Bob in Sabino Canyon. Bob lives here with his wife for part of the year. The rest of the year they live near us in Brookline. Bob loves to hike and he knows many trails in the area. We hiked for over 2 hours. It was quite hot but we stopped and rested and snacked and that helped us keep going. i was a little worried about my husband because unlike me he never exercises. But he was a trooper and did very well.

When we returned to our hotel we showered and collapsed in a heap until dinner. The desert heat really takes it out of you! But it was wonderful. Now if only I could bottle up that heat and bring it back to Boston which was 23 degrees today!

If you do figure out how to Bottle that be sure and send me some in Washington state...We are supposed to get more snow tonight. It looks beautiful in Tucson!

What a beautiful hike that must have been (I checked out your other flickr pics-love the cactus on top of the rock cliff). I've forgotten what being hot feels like ~sigh~

Amazing photo! Wish I could be there to enjoy the sun - I'm getting tired of the IA winter. LOL
