A few months ago I took an online class from Barb Fajardo called "Textured Tile Tessellations." at CraftEdu. I hadn't really tried the technique until now and this is one of my first attempts.
I have to say, it is fun for me since it is like drawing. I used to draw all the time, but hadn't been lately. I think it is a wonderful technique to add to my repertoire.
I also made some beads utilizing the technique which you can see here.
I am going to go mix up some more ivory color as we speak!
Speaking of ivory, what is your favorite mixture for this color? Everyone seems to have a favorite. I am using Julie Picarello's formula for "Jecru" here. It is 1 part ecru, 1 part translucent and 1/2 part pearl. I like the little shimmer that the pearl gives it.
