Brown Paisley Bead

Brown paisley bead by Roberta Warshaw

A new customer has inspired me to try new things. She really likes paisley. I had never thought about doing a paisley bead and now it seems, I can't stop!

A few days ago I made a few new color samples. One of these new colors is called Rich Brown. It is from Julie Picorello's book and I really do love it. The color is made with gold and alizarin, which I was already familiar with but she adds black to the mix for this wonderfully rich and glowing color.

I plan to try more of these brown beads with different color bead caps. This bead cap is also a formula from her book called Taupe.

Her colors are very different than what I have been used to working with. Almost all of them incorporate either gold, silver or ecru. Her formulas makes wonderful, shiny colors!

Roberta, that bead is just darling! I love the color.

I was lucky enough to take a class with Julie a couple years go. She's an amazing teacher, a sweet person, and yes, she really does love the ecru! :)
