I Made Birds!

Some simple birds by Roberta Warshaw
Some simple birds, a photo by Roberta Warshaw on Flickr.
I must be in a bird frame of mind now that it has snowed and the birds are flocking to my feeder every day. I even had the cardinals again the other day. I love feeding the birds. I could watch them for hours. And so could my cat! The other day there were 6 or seven pairs of mourning doves. They always come in pairs but that was the most I had ever seen at one time.

I want to take a minute to thank everyone for all their kind words, thoughts and prayers for my mom while she had her surgery.

Mom came through the surgery well. The cancer is removed and yesterday she had solid food for the first time since Thursday. We are all so relieved I cannot tell you! In a few days she will go to an extended stay rehab facility to finish healing before going back home.

I have been busy driving to and from the hospital and so haven't had much time to make things but I did manage to squeeze these simple bird beads in.

oh they are sweet little birds.

Sorry to hear about your mum. Glad she has come through the surgery. I am glad you have found some time to create in amongst it all, I found it a good release.

Roberta, your birds are adorable! I'm amazed at the details you add to your beads -- they're truly amazing.

So, so glad that your mom's surgery went well. What a relief! *Hugs.*
