Pantone Spring Color-Cockatoo

I am starting to feel like I am running on empty. All I can do is post a bead here and there for now.

Mom is due to get out of the Rehab Facility next Wednesday. It is quite hard for her because she feels very ready to go home. Her blood pressure is on a roller coaster so they want to keep her another week.

Tomorrow we go to the surgeon to get her staples removed, so that will make her feel better I think. One more step towards recovery. One step closer to home.

My dad really misses her when she is not around. They have been married for 63 years. I can't even imagine that.

Anyway, this bead is made using the new Pantone color for Spring called Cockatoo. I just love it. Someone said it was soothing and I think that is a good description of a lovely color. I need soothing right now.

Until next time then...........

Roberta,

What a beautiful bead! And a very pretty shade.

I can understand feeling like you're running on empty -- stress really takes a toll on a person, and nothing takes a bigger toll than a serious illness in the family.

Once things have settled down, Dr. Sequin* thinks you should take a couple days to rest and take care of yourself. If you need some hearty soup recipes to get your energy up, email me! I have tons.

*Who is not really a doctor, just bossy.

I think you are an incredibly attentive daughter, and that both of your parents are very lucky to be receiving so much of your good energy at a time when they really need it. It helps them, but comes at a cost to you. Don't feel bad about not getting in the studio. You'll get back there soon with renewed energy and productivity. Until then, please be sure to be gentle with yourself. This kind of thing with your parents takes a tremendous amount out of you. Rest up as much as you can and you'll be back to your new old self in the studio!

Glad to know your Mum is slowly recovering. That color and your bead technique is just awesome! It looks like a ceramic bead!
