Tohono Chul Park

Whenever I am in Tucson, I love to visit Tohono Chul Park. It is only about a mile from where we stay so we go every year.

They grow every conceivable cactus and desert plant there is. The paths are winding and there is an abundance of birds and other assorted wildlife there. The hummingbirds are everywhere and so are the quail with their adorable little feather headdresses.

Honestly, I could live in this place. I do so love the desert in all its brown and green dryness.

Each time I go, it is harder for me to leave. This time was the worst. When I am there I am always so inspired. It seems anything is possible and I can be whoever I want to be there. Oh, It may be just the fact that I am on vacation or it could be something else. It could be real. Maybe my life would be different there. We have met so many people who live there. In Tucson people actually talk to you. And they don't ask you what you do for a living or all that nonsense. They are just interested in you as a person. It is very different from here and it is one of the things that I love about it.

And speaking of tangerine tango, how about that wall!

I've only been to Tucson once, and I really did love it there. Have you been to Bookman's? Best used book store ever!

Sounds like a wonderful trip. I hope you continue to have a great time!

I loved the Sonoran desert to, when I lived there. You are right about the people there. They were very real and very friendly.

I love those shadows. I've never been to that park although I really have only been to Tucson a few times anyway. There's a little rivalry thing here where you are either a Phoenix person or a Tucson person. I guess I am the former, I like the big city more but Tucson is a very charming town.
