One a Day

Desertscape by Roberta Warshaw
Desertscape, a photo by Roberta Warshaw on Flickr.
I am trying to make a new collage each day. Hopefully I can keep up with it. I am not usually too good at keeping these goals and challenges I set for myself but for now I will give it a try.

I love looking at your collages on the highest zoom of the light-box feature on Flickr, Roberta. I can see all the great detail. I admit I had never heard of collage with just painted paper, but I really love the effect. It is amazing how vivid it looks!

Oh you are so kind. I never really heard of it either but I didn't want to use anyone else's art in them so it seems like a good way to keep them all mine........

Absolutely beautiful! My new favorite. The subject matter, the colors, I love everything about it. --Says the girl whose kitchen and dining room are decorated with kokopelli, cacti, Native American pottery..... ;)

I just caught up with your last several entries. My loss for falling behind. These are great! This one has a real sense of depth.
Be gentle with yourself if you miss a day here and there with the one-a-day goal. I think intension and regular practice is important, but also being observant of one's own ebbs and flows has a value, too.
Really glad to hear the excitement in your voice again!

your work is beautiful and exciting. I love the method of painting first and creating a collage with the painted paper. I am inspired to try that one day!
