Some New Postcards

These cards have nowhere to go just yet. I was playing around with some abstract designs on my gelatin plate. I wasn't sure what to do with them so I cut them up and made postcards out of them. They are different. Not my usual thing. Perhaps I will send them out at the next call for mail art from somewhere......................

I will be lucky to get into my studio at all in the next week or so as my son is having his surgery tomorrow and will be recuperating in the bed in...........where else?..............my studio.

I can't even begin to tell you how exhausted I am. This thing with my son is really the final straw in what has been a nearly constant state of doing, driving, etc. for my family.  I can't keep it up. I know that. But for now I have to rally.

I still hope to be able to take my vacation to Tucson the week of the 23rd. If I can't get away I will be more than disappointed.

I hope it warms up out there. I hear it has been rather chilly and I don't need that!

Roberta, these postcards are amazing. They have such a beautiful glow to them, and an open simplicity.

I hear you when you speak about family obligations.
Be well and find some time to stitch. It is a healer I can vouch for.

I am imagining them as silk scarves!
The colors and forms float so invitingly.
The middle one is my favorite, at least in this moment...

Hi Roberta, lovely to see your beautiful cards, The abstract colours and forms are very inspiring, The process you use to get the beautiful colors is new to me and i'm facinated! I'm sorry you have had some problems recently, I hope a holiday clears your mind and gives you the opportunity to have a break. Best of wishes.

I subscribed to your blog and see that you're participating in Kat's Liberate Your Art - me too but I've got to get my cards off to her this week. Your Moo cards turned out beautifully! MMSA (Mail Me Some Art) is another way to trade postcards with a great group of ladies - you might give that a try....I just love the happy mail that shows up in my mailbox now!
