Black and White

B&W print2 by Roberta Warshaw
B&W print2, a photo by Roberta Warshaw on Flickr.

I haven't been too productive over the past week or so. So much is going on right now. My husband will need surgery on his knee after a nasty fall. We will know more after his visit Monday with the surgeon.

Always something isn't it?

I am still making those little prints to keep me working. I decided to do them in black and white for a while. It helps to see if the design is strong enough. Sometimes I can't tell when I work in color.

I think I see an all black and white book in my future!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Sometimes when I am working on a painting, I will take a digital photo of it and look at it on my computer as a black and white image so I can see more clearly the composition as value.
We are all so sensitive to color, it can be hard to see beyond it.

Love this, so much. I have also paged backwards in your posts and your letter a day series makes my heart sing.

Hi Roberta, hope everything is OK with hubby? Love the black & white. I would like to ask you about a good (easy) books on handmade books. I have one by Alisa Golden which is really good as I am a complete beginner. Would appreciate your input.

Melva, the book by Alissa Golden is the one I use the most. I think it is the best one out there!
