Hero Arts Contest

I am entering my accordian book "Flowerography" made with Hero Arts Letter Stamps in their contest called "Stamp Your Story".

For the book I used one letter stamp for each flower arranged in a variety of designs to form the flowers. I used one letter for the ground in order to add continuity to the pages as they progress.

Many of you who have been following my blog for a while now know that I love creating flowers. I love making up my own versions of flowers and this book is titled: "Flowerography". It is made on Rives BFK print paper using Colorbox archival inks. The signatures are sewn together with cream colored linen bookbinding thread. I do love the way it came out.

I love using these small letters in my projects. Lately I have been practicing using them to make words and sentences. It isn't the easiest thing to get them on a fairly straight line but I make guides for them and then I can be pretty successful. I actually don't mind if they are not totally aligned since it gives the pieces a more rustic look.

I am always on the lookout for their alphabets now.  They sell them at my local Paper Source. I even have a few sets of their larger letters as well. There are so many things that can be done with these letters. I am only just beginning my investigations with them.

Be sure and go to the Hero web site and see all the great stamps they sell!
