Birds and Berries

I am happy to report that the greeting cards are selling rather well. I am really having fun making them since they are of a small enough size that I can add and embellish to my hearts delight and still sell them at an affordable amount. I think that $5.50 is quite affordable for an original one-of-a-kind piece of art. And apparently others do as well!

On this card I have added some embroidery as well as some gold leaf.

I used to do a lot of embroidery back in the day and one of my favorite stitches was the french knot. I once embroidered an entire denim skirt with literally thousands of french knots. What can I say, I had plenty of time on my hands in those days.

School is out on Friday and hopefully I will have more time on my hands since my grandson will be in camp all day and will then go straight home afterwards! A summer off from math homework is just the ticket for both of us.....

I am enjoying the heat and swimming like crazy! Hope you are too.....

I truly appreciate anyone who does hand embroidery. The french knots are perfect for this card.

Beautiful work, what a great idea to use French knots for the berries. :)

That's really lovely and $5.50 is very affordable. I sure wouldn't want to send those off if I bought them, though.

I love love love this card! I think the embroidery totally enhances the already amazing art work. I don't want to send any of the ones I bought. I just want to frame them.
