Mask Cutting

stencil 1 by Roberta Warshaw
stencil 1, a photo by Roberta Warshaw on Flickr.
While I was sitting in the airport waiting for my plane, I did quite a bit of sketching with the idea of cutting the ideas out for masks for my prints.

This is a ghost print of one of them. I think I mentioned that I am trying to work on my layering technique as well as making my own masks for work that is totally my own. Even when I print from a plant I always feel that it is not my own. After all it is mother natures right?

So this is totally my own and I rather like the idea of using more and more of these stencils and masks. I have a few more that I made which I will post in a day or two.

This is so soft , thanks to the ghosting, the second pull is often the better print for me. Making in prints can produce lovely effects and fun to use. I like this very much, nice print.

Love this! Does it make sense that it seems to have a personality?!
