Desert Heat
My friends in Tucson are in the midst of a record breaking heat wave. One of my neighbors there  said that the thermometer on her porch read 120 degrees. That is pretty hot. I thought that this painting looked like that. Maybe I should call it 120 degrees.....

Anyway, school is officially out and my grandson is now a senior in high school. This is not easy for me at my age but we are managing somehow. So we have a little less than one year left here in Boston and then we too can be in 120 degree

He has a summer job again as a camp counselor and that starts on Monday. I am glad about that. I can't imagine what I would do if he weren't working. I know that some of his friends don't have summer jobs. Teens need to work. Period. I do have strong opinions on that!

I have been trying to make art every day.  It is finally getting warmer here. Although the pool has been closed now for a couple of weeks for renovations. I miss my swimming and I am eager to get back to it!

That's all for now. Have a good week!

A lovely piece of art and I think it should be called 120 degrees. My niece is at the Grand Canyon and went onto Vegas. She posted pics when they got off the plane at the Canyon and it was 115 degrees. Not that hot in Chicago where she lives. We have had temps up to the 90s and high humidity. It keeps us in because Terry can't breathe in that humidity.

I think kids should work too. Not only to keep them busy and having spending money, but they learn life skills that they will need in whatever job they will do in adulthood. It also teaches them to choose wisely what they spend money on knowing it does not come easily. I'm sure the past couple of years have dragged for you. Only one more to go!!

How interesting that your piece does look "hot"!!! HA Florida had over 100 degrees as well. I was talking to my friends and told them it was 75 and beautiful here in Michigan...another reason for me to NOT move to Florida...I'm not a 90's(or higher) kind of gal! HA

p.s. check out Interesting....meant to send this to you sooner.
