New works

Before I began packing for my move, at the end of last year, I was working on a series that was really inspiring me. As I was working on the actual paintings I was also creating strips of sample colors for the pieces. The strips themselves were so nice that I decided to add these abstract floral/plant designs to them. I thought they would make cute bookmarks. So I packed them up in a box to prepare for the move and promptly forgot about them.

Nearly one year later I am still unpacking things in my studio. Finding these strips was like finding wonderful treasures!

And I discovered how nice they look on my newest pieces on the birch panels!

I am very excited to be moving ahead with this new and old series combination and seeing what comes of it.

I wonder what other hidden treasures you will uncover as you continue to unpack. It's great that you are not unpacking all at once, and savoring and rediscovering as you go. Great pieces.

What a find! Isn't that always like a birthday gift or Christmas gift when you find a piece you've done a long time ago!!!! So happy to see you back at it...and appears that you are loving it!
